Hands-On Bodywork & Movement

For stress, overwhelm, burnout, chronic pain patterns, and difficult life transitions.

These sessions help you understand how stress and pain show up in your body and how to work with them in a more supportive, natural way. Together, we focus on completing the body’s stress response so your system can return to a more regulated, balanced state.

We actively work with your body and mind through guided, experiential practices, parts-based dialogue, and simple tools you can use in daily life to build resilience. The goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed, more at ease, and more capable of handling life’s challenges.

Sessions may include:

  • Nervous system reset practices

  • Guided somatic awareness

  • IFS-informed parts dialogue

  • Stress and pain education

  • Tools to complete stress and anxiety cycles

  • Healthy lifestyle and mindset strategies

  • Graduated exposure and movement planning

  • Gentle calming and centering techniques

  • Titration and pendulation to process emotions and build resilience

For pain, tension, strains, or any bothersome symptom, these sessions are designed to improve how your body moves, recovers and feels.

Each session is personalized using a blend of hands-on therapies, drawing from all of my vast experience to create a “body buffet” of care, combined with movement-based approaches to address root causes and support lasting results.

You were built to move and born to heal. Movement is medicine when applied with the right dose and proper guidance. Together, we work to gently break boom-and-bust or fear-avoidance cycles, reduce flare-ups, and build confidence through consistent, supportive movement so your body can do what it’s designed to do adapt and heal.

Sessions may include:

  • Therapeutic massage

  • Graston, cupping, and percussion therapy

  • Trigger point, craniosacral (CST), and myofascial release (MFR) techniques

  • Joint mobilization and soft tissue holds

  • Active or assisted stretching

  • Issue-specific strengthening

  • Movement guidance to improve confidence and ease

  • Design and instruction for home exercise programs

Rates:

  • 60 minutes — $100

  • 75 minutes — $125

I offer two ways to work together, depending on your needs: hands-on support for physical pain and tension, or experiential sessions to help you regulate stress, understand pain, and build nervous system resilience.

While clients may start in one area, we always work with the whole system because the body and mind are deeply connected. Through hands-on support or guided practices, you can ease discomfort, reduce stress, and restore balance.

Sessions are available in-studio in Asheville and Hendersonville, as well as in local parks, gyms, or video conferencing.

Why this work is important

This work isn’t about feeling less it’s about building the capacity to feel more, without becoming overwhelmed or burned out. It helps you move through difficult emotions, stay grounded during challenging times, and respond in ways that align with who you want to be.

Stress affects every part of us our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical body. It is also the precursor to numerous disease and ailments. When it isn’t processed or released, it accumulates. Over time, the nervous system can become dysregulated, stuck in cycles of activation or shutdown. By learning how your body responds, you can begin to identify stressors, unhelpful thinking patterns and physical symptoms before they take their toll. Then use the practical tools, awareness and mindset to complete the stress cycle and return to a more balanced, regulated, and resilient state.

Chronic pain often develops within this same system: an overprotective, sensitized nervous system sending ongoing danger signals, even when the body has healed. Combined with inconsistent movement or fear-avoidance patterns, this can keep you stuck in pain loops. With understanding, and more importantly consistent practice, you can gently retrain your system, restore a sense of safety, improve movement patterns, and reduce pain without assuming your body is broken or needs to be “fixed".
