My Space
Snapshots of my work in action

Greetings,
I’m Pam Cammisa, a body-mind practitioner with a 32+ year background in physical therapy, bodywork, and wellness coaching. I blend hands-on manual techniques with nervous system regulation, somatic practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-inspired dialogue to help you better understand the complexity and nuance of who you are and all your parts and systems, so you can respond in new ways.
As a Gen X woman, I know what it’s like to try to do all the things and end up feeling tense, stressed, and disconnected, wondering why your body isn’t cooperating. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to push through, ignore the signals, or think something is “wrong” with us when we feel wired and tired and don’t bounce back.
My career has taken me through trauma hospitals, nursing homes, and sports rehab clinics, working with people in pain, injured, overwhelmed, frustrated, and everything in between. Over time, I realized treating a person’s body's symptoms alone wasn’t enough, and neither was over thinking, venting, or numbing out. Real change happens when we bring both body and mind together and learn to listen to the subtle language of sensation.
I’ve also had to learn this the hard way. Being naturally empathetic (and a bit of an over-functioner and anxious), I used to be really affected by others suffering and pain and would mentally get in the “sick bed” with my patients, turns out, that’s not a great long-term strategy for my own wellbeing! On a weekly basis, patients would tell me not to grow old; I’d laugh and scold them for telling me to die young! So, the tools I share now are the same ones I’ve used for my own internal alarms, to regulate my nervous system, stay grounded, and not take everyone’s hurts home with me at the end of the day.
My approach is considered the gold standard, science based, practical and collaborative. I’ll help you tune into your body, make sense of what it’s telling you, and build simple ways to support it, so you can move through life with more comfort, resilience, and maybe even a little more swag in your stride.
